LTT in BUDAPEST
EnterSTEAM Partners Come Together in Budapest for an Inspiring Week of STEAM Learning
4–9 October 2026 | Budapest, Hungary
The EnterSTEAM Erasmus+ KA220-VET project successfully completed its Learning, Teaching and Training (LTT) activity in Budapest, Hungary, from 4 to 9 October 2026. The mobility was hosted and organised by our Hungarian project partner, Ganz Ábrahám Bilingual Secondary and Vocational School.
The event brought together 36 students from six partner countries, accompanied by their teachers:
- Latvia: 6 female students
- Türkiye: 6 female students
- Italy: 6 female students
- Austria: 3 female and 3 male students
- Romania: 5 female and 1 male student
- Hungary: 6 male students
Throughout the week, our students participated in creative STEAM workshops, practical learning activities, cultural visits and international teamwork experiences.
Cultural Exchange and New Friendships
The programme began with presentations prepared by students about their schools, countries and cultures. These presentations allowed participants to discover the cultural diversity of the partner countries and learn more about each other.
Our Hungarian partner also organised cultural learning and team-building activities, helping students communicate, build friendships and develop their English-speaking skills in an international environment.
Exploring STEAM Through Practical Activities
During their visit to the host school’s workshops, participants observed how metal is processed using both traditional techniques and modern technologies.
One of the most exciting parts of the programme was the visit to the Labor of Logic Engineering Education Centre, where students experienced different STEAM activities, including:
- Coding and logical thinking
- Woodworking with CNC machines
- Digital magnet design
- 3D design and printing
- Creative paper folding
- Micro:bit and LEGO activities
These workshops gave students the opportunity to learn by doing, develop their creativity and improve their problem-solving skills while combining science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
From the History of Money to Virtual Reality
At the Hungarian Money Museum, participants explored the development of money, from traditional exchange systems to modern payment methods. Through interactive games and educational activities, they learned about trade, shopping and the journey of money. They also had the chance to print their own money.
Students also experienced a virtual reality (VR) tour of Hungarian history and discovered how this technology can be used in education, culture and other areas.
Learning and Working Together
At Budapest Zoo, students from different partner countries worked in mixed international teams to complete various tasks and challenges. These activities encouraged communication, cooperation, teamwork and problem-solving while strengthening friendships among participants.
Discovering European Values and Cultural Heritage
During a visit to Europa Experience, students attended an educational session about the European Union, its institutions and decision-making processes.
The programme also included cultural visits to Budapest’s famous landmarks, including the Hungarian Parliament Building, Buda Castle, Gellért Hill and Heroes’ Square. These visits helped participants discover Hungary’s history, architecture and cultural heritage.
A Successful Week of International Learning
The Budapest LTT was much more than a series of educational workshops. It provided a valuable opportunity for students from six European countries to learn together, exchange ideas, explore new technologies and experience different cultures.
Throughout the mobility, participants developed their creativity, digital skills, communication, teamwork, problem-solving abilities and self-confidence.
The activities also supported the main values of the EnterSTEAM project: creativity, inclusion and entrepreneurship, demonstrating how STEAM education can make learning more practical, engaging and meaningful for young people.
As the EnterSTEAM partnership, we would like to express our sincere thanks to our Hungarian partner, GGanz Ábrahám Bilingual Secondary and Vocational School, for the excellent organisation and warm hospitality. We also thank all participating teachers and students for their enthusiasm, active involvement and valuable contributions throughout the week.
Together, we continue to learn, create, innovate and build a more inclusive future through STEAM education!
